3. Don’t start a diet you can’t maintain for life

It’s possible for anyone to reach a healthy weight - you just need to find the best way to do it.

Professor Rena Wing, who runs the National Weight Control Registry (NWCR), found that while there’s “nothing magical” that enables one person to successfully lose weight while another fails, she did find that “the one commonality is that they (successful dieters) had to make changes in their everyday behaviors."
